How to brief a China immersion programme
The questions that turn an initial idea into a useful institutional brief.
Start with the learning question
A good brief explains what your cohort needs to understand, not simply which places it wants to visit. Choose a question that connects to the curriculum or professional development goal.
Describe the cohort
Include the institution, origin market, size range, educational background and supervision requirements. Avoid sending personal participant information at the initial stage.
Set the practical boundaries
Share preferred dates, format, budget considerations and accessibility requirements. Identify who reviews academic content and who approves operations.
Review what is confirmed
Separate sample activities from confirmed arrangements. A useful proposal makes duration, inclusions, exclusions, responsibilities and access status clear.
